What is image metadata?

Some images store the camera model, capture time, camera settings and sometimes geographic coordinates inside the file. This data is not always visible.

How FileNexa removes it

The browser draws visible pixels onto a fresh canvas and creates a new file. Metadata blocks from the original file are not copied.

A note about quality

JPG and WebP are encoded again during rebuilding. Choose 90% or higher when preserving fine detail matters. The original is never modified.

Metadata removal FAQ

Does FileNexa read my metadata?

No. The tool rebuilds visible pixels and does not need to extract or transmit the metadata.

Does it alter the original file?

No. It creates a new downloadable copy and leaves your original untouched.
